Meet Dr. Cory Stephens

Dr. Cory Stephens has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics with his father, Dr. Marvin, since September 2003. Dr. Cory received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Also like his father, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor Dental School, where he graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Cory was also elected to the Baylor Odontological Honor Society and to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and received scholastic achievement awards throughout his dental education career.

Dr. Cory continued his dental education by completing a 27-month residency in orthodontics at the Baylor Orthodontic Department, where he obtained his Master of Science. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society, and other multi-disciplinary study groups.

Dr. Cory has also received the honor of being named a fellow in the national Tweed Foundation, an international orthodontic study group that promotes advanced education in orthodontics, for which he also serves as an instructor, and teaches residents from all over the world. Dr. Cory is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a clinical achievement only a small percentage of orthodontists in the country achieve.

Dr. Cory loves being outdoors, hunting, fishing, skiing, boating on the lake, and spending time with his family and his Labrador Retriever.
